Without the rare dustwrapper. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with light rubbing and bumping at the extremities. The contents are entirely complete with the neat ink name “Shipston” and date “July 1935” in black ink on the front free endpaper. Housed in a bespoke black cloth folding solander case with titles in gilt to a leather label on the spine. An excellent signed example of this scarce Hercule Poirot mystery. Inscribed by the author in black ink on the front free endpaper “With love from Agatha”. The recipients Geoff and Violet Shipston were close friends of the author, and the dedicatees of her previous novel Three Act Tragedy.
