Wotton-Common, Isle of Wight.: The Engraver [George Brannon], 1832 VG+, 50 pls, fine binding, 2nd ed. Oblong 29.5*23.3 cm, in modern maroon morocco, gilt chain at edges. Spine, gilt tooling, raised bands, titles in gilt to black leather labels. Internally, new endpapers, small old lib label to fpd (Hellyer Marine Library Ryde), (iv), [1], 8-53 pp, 1 map, 50 plates (plates dated 1822-1832), minimal edge browning and finger soiling. The first edition, with a slightly different title was published in 1829. Rare to find as complete and as clean as this. Brannon, engraver and publisher, born in Ireland, lived at Landscape Cottage on Wotton-Common, Isle of Wight.
