Considered the first published history of professional football. 160 pp. Hardcover, original blue cloth, 8vo. Illustrated. A Near Fine copy, no dust jacket. Minor wear to the extremities; otherwise, a tight, clean copy with bright and unmarked contents. Art Rooney, aka, the Chief, bought the Pittsburgh Pirates (now known as the Steelers) for $2,500 in 1933. He is a member of the Football Hall of Fame, and is regarded as one of the preeminent owners in North American sports. A very rare book, with an unbeatable inscription.
