Silver title on spine. Covers clean and fresh, pages tight. Blocks very clean cut so pages were probably trimmed when rebound. Some pages freckled and a few are darkened. The contents pages list 10 engravings. Four of these are missing. The rest are present plus an additional unlisted engraving of a tablet in St Martin's Church. The book begins with the apocryphal history (Bladud and the Ancient Britons). It covers Monastic Establishments, Churches and Chapels, Ancient and Modern Schools, Hospitals and other Charities, Public Buildings, Public Amusements (including Bull Running), Biographical Sketches etc. Includes additions and corrections.
