A disturbing first-hand account on the Auschwitz concentration camp, by a female survivor from Slovenia, published by the Slovenian immigrant publishing house in Cleveland. - This detailed report on the concentration camp in Auschwitz was written by a Slovenian female political prisoner from Styria. The text, accompanied with photoreproductions and photomontages was, explains the circumstances of her arrest, transportation to the camp and different chapters from the life there in the next months. The author was imprisoned together with other Yugoslavian female inmates, parallel to the barracks with Jewish women, who were, by here words, treated worse than other women in the camp. She describes work, death, friendships, and medical experiments, a part of which the author has become at the end of her imprisonment.
