London: Frederick Warne, 1930. First French edition. Paperback. Very good overall. Set of 6 booklets, the first edition in French, designed and printed by Warne in Great Britain. Excellent condition in original box, which is a bit worn, with a French over-label partially removed from boxtop. Circa 1930. Originally published in English in 1927, translated by Suzanne Christoflour: Jumbo le Kangougou, Hubert le petit cochon, Cham et l'oeuf, Jenny la girafe, Tobie le bebe elephant, Le nouveau metier de Pouf,. Small 8vo, shiny white paper wraps with colored illustration to both back/front covers, each booklet 13 pp., colored and b/w illustrations with double page color illustration at midpoint of each book. One booklet slightly dusty on front cover, o/w excellent condition.
