Cruikshank are credited with the designs for the plates, the balance of opinion favouring Cruikshank but according to the advertisement more than one artist was employed, or a least a different engraver to the artist." Slight offsetting on vignette title, internally crisp, clean with plates bright, raised bands, spine panels decorated in gilt, gilt front and back cover border panels, turn-ins gilt, marbled endpapers, bookplate.
