Original wrappers with publisher's woodcut oval vignette on upper cover, small 8vo 18x11 cms, frontis. title pp36 ads to lower cover. Frontispiece of fishing scene (hand coloured) and 12 species of fish (uncoloured), wrappers a little rubbed at edges, slight soiling else a very good copy of this fragile early angling work, housed in a bespoke calf backed solander box. & This work (not in Westwood & Satchell) is almost certainly a provincial reprint of the Angler's Assistant published by Mason in 1813 to which it bears a strong resemblance. Scarce
