Florence, Vallecchi Editore, 1928. Mino Maccari (Siena 1898 - Rome 1989) was an Italian writer, painter, engraver and journalist. First original edition of one of the most significant works of the whole field of Italian literary movement 'Strapaese'. Maccari, from 1924 began working at Angiolo Bencini's magazine 'Selvaggio' with writings and drawings. The xylographs published here represent the first phase of Maccari as an engraver. The poems then witness the compositional skills that will recognize Maccari as one of the 900 best Italian satirical versifiers. Including 9 original xilographs by Mino Maccari. Uncut, lightly worn.
