Finely bound by Bayntun-Riviere in mid-brown morocco with dark brown morocco title labels, raised bands, striped endpapers, gilt edges. Black and white photographs. A fine set. First editions, first impressions of all of Chatwin's works published in his lifetime. Chatwin was an English travel writer, novelist, and journalist. His first book In Patagonia established his reputation as a travel writer and he was awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for his novel On The Black Hill as well as being shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 1988 for his novel Utz.
