The Story of a Mother-Love
Jefferson, Ohio: Annette Fitch-Brewer, 1913. This is truly a remarkable story. Even had the story taken place in contemporary times, this would have been a story reported in major newspapers and carried in extreme detail by the major networks and cable outlets. But this story of parental abduction took place nearly a century ago, in 1906. Mrs. Fitch-Brewer fled with her son in late 1905/early 1906 and was on the run in Canada and the United States for four years. The boy's father utilized the services of the Pinkerton Detective Agency, which at the time pretty much operated as a department of the federal government. The corners have some wear, while there is minor wear to the extremities of the covers and the spine. The binding is a little loose. Please refer to pictures provided. This is TRULY a remarkable book detailing a REMARKABLE story of misplaced parental emotions. This book has 289 pages and is illustrated from photographs. This, indeed, is a VERY GOOD copy of this VERY RARE title. Green Cloth with gold gilded lettering. Has pencil writing on inside of cover. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. If you have any questions or would like additional pictures please just let me know. Thank you.
