Alaskan Trophies Won and Lost
Christopher Publishing House, Boston 1928 - Mylar protected maroon cloth boards w/ gilt titling on spine cover w/ blind-stamped border / No DJ. Square, tight binding w/ square corners (tho slight bumping to uppers) and just a hint of an old water mark, rubbing and edge wear to boards. Gift inscription on 1/2 Title Page reads "Compliments of one of the Party-J.O Snyder), publl date not on Title Pg but on verso, the name McCarthy struck-thru and corrected to Cordova on Pg 24, otherwise text clean, bright and unmarked throughout on lightly toning pages w/ perhaps an occass spot or smudge. Well cared for handsome copy of the extremely scarce 1st ed made more special by the inscription by one of the party. A must read and engaging account of the author's 1919 hunting trip for sheep and other game in Alaska. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
