Dedication to the Royal Society of Sciences in Uppsala, and with its library stamp. From the library of Nils Fries. Stafleu 5612. Fine copy. Abramo Bartolommeo Massalongo (1824-60) was an Italian paleobotanist and lichenologist, high school teatcher at Verona and together with G. W. Koerber the founder of the "Italian-Silesian" school of lichenology. The receiver of the offprint in Uppsala was probably Elias Fries, also a lichenologist.
