Ljubljana: Ljudska pravica [] 1946 - 4º, [1] printed title, 32 images, [1] index. Original colour printed card cover, staples. Good condition, binding hardly noticeable age toned with soft folds, paper slightly age-toned, manuscript signature in ink on title page. One of the earliest published series of images of a concentration camp after the WW II. - A series of 32 images from the concentration camp in Dachau were based on the sketches made in situ, by an academic painter Bruno Vavpoti?, who was a prisoner in Dachau between 1943 – 1945. The collection is dedicated to "all the victims of Dachau". The book was published by a Slovenian press "Ljudska pravica", the follower of the underground Partisan press, in 1946, just one year after the end of the WW II. The images show the prisoners, bodies, crematorium, tents of the liberators (Allies), Bruno Vavpoti? (2904-1995) was a Czech born artist, who received his education in art and theatre design in Ljubljana, Vienna and Prague. After the WW II he returned to Slovenia, after he lived until his death.
