Elzevier-publication on the modern history of Germany - this second edition not in the Elsevier Heritage Collection. As explained in the prologue, this work covers only the modern history of Germany, whereas the reader is referred to "Germaniae Antiquae libri tres" by Philippus Cluverius from 1616 (Willems 108). The Privilege of 1626 separately printed on last page of part II. Engraved title page by Cornelis Claeszoon Duysend. Typographic title page of part II also with date 1640 and woodcut printer's mark Non Solus. Illustrated with 4 large headpieces, 3 small headpieces and 3 endpieces.
