Front free endpaper detached, Page 287 detached with chipped and creased edges, large chip out of p. 339 with loss of text. Contents for each section. Index at rear. Articles on such topics as curing sea-sickness, why metals rust, smallpox inoculation, prodigious number of monks in France, etc. Regular features are lists of "ships taken," review of journals, poetry, births, deaths, preferments, and so on. Interesting.
