London: Methuen & Co. 1911. xvi, 211 pp. Blue cloth with bright decorative gilt design. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Pictorial endpapers. Spine edges and extremities slightly worn. With 25 tipped-in colour illustrations by F. Cayley Robinson. The first illustrated edition appeared in the previous month. Gift inscription at the top right of the title page - Frank Ritson from his Grandmother on his 21st birthday. Frank Ritson's calling card is also attached to the bottom right hand side of the decorative front free endpaper, with 1917 written in ink - the year he was killed at Messines Ridge, Ypres, Belgium. Bright copy, uncommon in a jacket. The blue jacket decorated in gold has some fading and marks to the spine, and the price of one guinea on the rear panel. A couple of the illustrations have small creases to the edges, and there is a blank calling card stuck to the bottom right hand copy of the title page. . Very Good. Decorated Cloth. Reprint. 1911. Small 4to.
