HARCOM (Mein Kampf) Forditottak: Kolbai Pál, Lintner Antal, Szakáts Istvan. II. Kiadás.
Second edition in Hungarian (first was in 1935). pp (2), 504. Two parts bound in one, continuous pagination. Rebound in half blue cloth and patterned boards, spine lettered and ruled in gilt ("Adolf / Harcon [sic]"), original colour card front cover bound in (Hitler speaking and shaking a first). Cheap paper yellowed; a lot of type degeneration to the page numbers and copyright page but text clear, book just a little leaned, else a VG clean and tight copy. >> In the 1930s, Hungary relied on trade with Germany and Italy, becoming increasingly nationalistic at the same time. In 1940, under pressure, the Kingdom of Hungary joined the Axis and her troops participated in the invasions of Yugoslavia and Russia. Hungary secretly began armistice negotiations with the US and the UK. Hitler found out and the Nazis invaded in March, 1944. A government was formed headed by fascist Ferenc Szálasi, leader of the notorious Arrow Cross Party, until the Russians defeated Germany and Hungary in 1945. By the war's end, approximately half a million Hungarian Jews and 30,000 Roma were exterminated. Hungary seems to be flirting with fascism again today. Book: Very Good, Binding: Hardcover .
