Bernard Shaw Speaks (On War)
Heritage Productions Corp., New York 1953 - Not a book but a 10-inch vinyl, monaural, 33-1/3 rpm LP record, Heritage LP H-0074, near-mint vinyl in a near-mint cardboard sleeve, copyright 1953 (three years after Shaw's death), from a short-wave radio address recorded in 1937, as the Spanish Civil War raged and the Second World War had already begun (whether anyone realized it or not) with the Italian campaigns in Ethiopia and the Japanese invasion of China. Shaw speaks on war, nature, divine providence, Beethoven, woman, primitive societies, pacifists, Lincoln, Russia and North America, the class war, the four-hour day, etc. A NOTE TO OUR OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS: On Books and records valued over $200, we recommend (though we do not require) overseas buyers choose "Priority" shipping, as this includes some automatic insurance coverage. Reduced from $300. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
