[Sauk City, Wisconsin?] Miskatonic Editions, [Roy A. Squires, published with the permission of Arkham House,], 1969-70. Four works, octavo. Original coloured wrappers, sewn at the fold, titles to front wrappers. With the original envelopes for each work. All housed in a brown cloth folding case. A fine complete set. First editions, only printings, a fine complete set of the Prose Poems of Lovecraft, each title number 6 from a limited edition of 125 copies (of which 26 were lettered, 99 numbered), here presented together in a collector's case with the original envelopes preserved. These "Miskatonic Editions" were part of a sequence of beautifully printed chapbooks issued in small numbers by Roy A. Squires, literary executor for Clark Ashton Smith, between 1962 and 1979, named in reference to the fictional Miskatonic University in Lovecraft's imaginary town of Arkham, Essex County, Massachusetts. Rare fine and complete thus.
