London: Methuen & Co. Ltd,, 1927. Octavo. Original red cloth, titles to spine and vignette to boards gilt, illustrated pink endpapers, top edge gilt. With the dust jacket. Illustrated throughout by E. H. Shepard. Spine rolled, boards gently bowed, spine and board edges slightly darkened. A very good copy in the jacket with darkened spine, some loss to ends, small chips to tips, reinforcement to verso. First edition, first impression. Included here is some of Milne's most memorable verse: "The Knight Whose Armour Didn't Squeak", "The Emperor's Rhyme" and "King John's Christmas" ("King John was not a good man / He had his little ways").
