London: Michael Joseph,, 1960. Octavo. Original green cloth, titles to spine in gilt, top edge pink. With the dust jacket by Charles E. Skaggs. Bookseller's ticket to front pastedown. A little fading to spine ends, light foxing to edges of text block and endleaves. A very good copy in the slightly rubbed and price-clipped jacket with some nicks and short closed tears to extremities, and tape repair to verso. First UK edition, first impression. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "To Dr Murray and his family, love Roald Dahl." From the library of Irish book collector Dr Philip Murray, author of The Adventures of a Book Collector (2011). He writes of meeting Dahl at a signing: "It was quite apparent that he got great enjoyment out of meeting the hundreds of children who queued up that day to have their books signed" (p. 101). Kiss Kiss was originally published in the US earlier the same year.
