Commercial Steamboat Inventor, Robert Fulton, displays his skillful artistic ability with a very rare signed portrait sketch
n.p., 1813. 2.5" x 2.75". "A sketch, 2.5"" x 2.75"", titled ""M. Schriber,"" a side-facing view of a gentleman surrounded by a mechanical background. Signed with the initials ""R F"" on the bottom right corner of the sketch and dated ""1813"" underneath the signature.Robert Fulton was a late 18th century inventor who is commonly known for his invention named Clermont, the first successful commercial steamboat. Fulton was already quite familiar with sketching and drawing being an inventor. He is renowned for his submarine designs, most notably being ""Nautilus"" commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte. "
