-Bantam - 1953 - Published only two years after Strangers on a Train, Highsmiths openly lesbian novel, rejected by her first publisher, and only in the 1990s published under her own name as "Carol", followed in the 2000s by the film. Second printing of the Bantam paperback edition in September 1953 at 25 cents, following the first Bantam edition of August the same year (at 35 cents). Number 1148. Some minor creasing at the top right, spine a little worn at the base with some creasing and rubbing, final page block looks a little tender and is slightly offset, a little creasing to the rear head edge corner, and some very minor loss of laminate at the rear head edge.
