The Whirlpool (Signed By The Author)
A First UK printing published by Wieland and Co. which reputedly had a print run of about 200 copies in 1911. Pictorial paper covered boards with striking illustration by the author's husband and publisher Eugene Weiland (sometimes erroneously attributed to Austin Osman Spare). With an introduction by Aleister Crowley. Pages uncut. The extremely fragile BOOK is in near Fine condition. The back strip is amazingly intact .The Book is tight, clean and extremely bright for its age. This copy still has the remnant of the original tissue wrapper which covers the back cover and inner flap ( see photos). The book is INSCRIBED ,DATED and SIGNED by Ethel Archer on the front end paper. The author was closely associated with Crowley and The Equinox and wrote these poems to Victor Neuberg and other Crowley intimates. Extremely scarce with such attributes.
