Argentine Ornithology: A Descriptive Catalogue of the Birds of the Argentine Republic (Two Volumes)
London: R. H. Porter, 1888 Published in 1888 and 1889. Two volumes rebound in maroon half Moroccan leather and cloth. Raised spine bands with gilt stamped lettering and decoration. Edges remain uncut. Decorative vignette on both title pages. One of only 200 copies printed, though this copy is LACKING the signed limitation page. Both volumes are otherwise collated and complete, beginning with the title page of each. Covers are exquisite and remain in Fine condition. Contents are Very Good, though both volumes show a little scattered foxing, lightly affecting a couple plates. The Keulemans plates are otherwise bright and clean. There is an institutional stamp on the title page of Volume II that partially covers the edge of the decorative vignette, though no other markings in either volume. . First Edition. Half Leather - Hardbound. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by J. G. Keulemans.
