London: John C. Nimmo Ltd, 1903. Complete in 6 volumes. Books measure 10 1/4 x 7 1/4 inches. 398 hand coloured plates of 400, lacking 2 plate which were probably omitted by the publisher. This set was owned by The Fourth Duke of Sutherland, with his bookplate and dated signature to each title page. Bound in period half calf, cloth boards, raised bands, gilt lines, gilt stamp of bird in each compartments, top gilt edges, marble endpapers. Bindings rubbed on edges and corners, with minor wear loss, two volumes bumped on head of spine, spines slightly faded. Generally all bindings in good clean firm condition. Internally, pages and plates in very good clean condition. A very nice well bound set. . Fifth Edition. Period Half Calf. Very Good. Quarto.
