Baldwin, and Scatcherd and Whitaker, London, 1784. - Sixteenth edition. 288; 275, (1) pp.+ 11 engraved plates. Contemporary full calf bindings with neatly gilt spines, red and green spine labels and gilt borders. Corners bumped, spine slightly rubbed, spine ends slightly chipped, rear joint of volume 1 and front joint of volume 2 with shallow cracks, bindings still firm. Paste-down endpapers with owner's signatures and book-plates, first free end paper of volume 1 with small ink spot, page 147-148 missing from volume 1, and was appearantly not bound with the book originally. Plate facing page 48 with chip measuring ca 1 x 8 cm, with some subsequent loss of text from the title of the plate. Title-leaf of volume 2 is missing, page 31 with ca 2,5 cm tear at tail of spine, page 67 with ca 2 cm tear at the edge, pages 196-205 with small stain at upper edge, last free endpaper missing. Seven of the eleven plates are somewhat crudely hand-coloured, some of them somewhat soiled as well. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
