Very good. vi,(iii)-xxiv,608pp. Illustrated with a copper engraved allegorical frontispiece and 8 engraved folding plates of printed music (6 of which are numbered) at rear. Orig. paneled calf, gilt tooled spine compartments and burgundy calf spine label. Small chip at head of spine, hinges starting but holding nicely. Copper engraved armorial bookplate of George Baillie, dated 1724, on front pastedown. With the ink signature of Lady Grizell Hume (i.e. Grizell Baillie) the noted Scottish song writer and poet.
