Wolf: A False Memoir
New York: Simon and Schuster, 1971. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/Near fine. Octavo (21 cm), pp. 225. Signed by author on title page. White boards with black debossed title on front board and black spine text. Black publisher's stain to top of text block. Minor bumping to spine ends. Jacket with original $5.95 price, shows light rubbing, tanning and a couple small (to 1/2") closed tears. The first novel by the author of "Dalva" and "Legends of the Fall" was made into a 1994 movie starring Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer and James Spader (and was the beginning of a life-long friendship between Harrison and Nicholson). No remainder mark: This was not a particularly well-selling book for Harrison, so many copies are marked (Jeff Hirsch, ABAA).
