New York: printed by R. Craighead, 1852. First separate edition, edited by the author's husband, Stephen R. Riggs; 8vo, pp. 120; original brown cloth, blindstamped borders, title in gilt on upper cover; spine ends chipped, a few other small cracks, otherwise very good. An Ayer Linguistic duplicate, with a Newberry release stamp on a front flyleaf and a small Newberry bookplate on the front pastedown. Mostly in the Santee dialect of the Dakota language.
