Mawman, Ludgate Hill, 1817. pp. [xii], 279; large folding frontispiec map; four engraved plates (of which three double-illustrated), two in-text woodcuts (all in accordance with the List of Engravings though one plate bound at P. 75 rather than at p. 211 as indicated on the list) Contemporary half black polished calf with gilt lettering and decoration to the spine; navy-blue moire silk boards; original marbled end papers. Binding very good and strong with light wear and rubbing, corners a little worn. Contents good and tight, paper toned, the odd spot; plates toned with some foxing, mostly to edges, title page lightly browned by map frontispiece. Provenance: with the contemporary engraved bookplate of Thomas Christy to the front free end paper. A very good copy.. First Edition. Half Leather. Very Good. Illus. by . 8vo (14 x 22 cm).
