No Place: No Publisher No publisher or place. Presumed G. Reimer, Berlin, 1822. Marbled boards with leather spine. Oblong folio. 15 engraved plates (five sepia toned), preceded by a contents page. Illustrated volume issued to accompany Richter's Wallfahrten im Morgenlande. Otto Friedrich von Richter was a German philologist and explorer, with this work depicting scenes from his travel in the Near East and Greece, including Bosra, Samothrace, Lemnos, etc. GOOD condition, ex-theological institution library. Label on the upper front cover, with minor markings on the front endpaper and contents page. Covers faded, with minor soiling and moderate scuffing to the rear cover. Heavy bumping and scuffing along the extremities. Leather split, chipped and very worn along the spine, with hinges somewhat tenuous. Moderate to heavy scattered foxing to the plates throughout, mostly to the reverse of each, but with spots affecting the illustrations themselves. Front endpaper creased. . Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Ex-Library.
