Pechstein. 37 pp. poem by Lautensack conceived during a stay in Palmnicken in Samland (also known as the Sambia Peninsula in eastern Prussia on the shore of the Baltic Sea) as a member of the Imperial German reserve forces in 1915, accompanied by altogether 21 original lithographs by the renowned Expressionist painter and graphic artists Max Pechstein, 10 of which appear in conjunction with the text, the other 11 being full-page plates. Large folio. Original publisher's cloth-backed boards. Berlin (Fritz Gurlitt) n.d. (ca. 1917). One of 130 copies. Signed "H M Pechstein 1917" (Hermann Max Pechstein) in pencil on colophon page.
