Map: 8-5/8" x 30" The first of a number of such publications issued by Fisk & Hatch, "Bankers and Dealers in Government Securities", designed to encourage investing in the capital intensive Central Pacific Railroad, with much company history included, as well as perceived benefits derived from the project, planned construction & company goals. This May 1867 solicitation rare in the trade, with auction activity since 1979 showing just 3 instances of any prospectus coming on the block, the last in 2006, and all later publications.
