In contemporary, dark-brown calf-covered boards with single border rule gilt on both boards. Binding scuffed, with some loss of calf on back board and on the corners. Recently rebacked with title, author and date gilt on the spine with gilt-rule outline. All edges washed brown. [3], ii-iii, [1], 18; [2], 54 pages plus 100 leaves of plates, numbered to XCIV, with two leaves each for Plates VII, VIII, XV, XXXVI, LV, LXIII. Ownership inscription in top foredge corner of first blank 'Ht Cope | London | 1792' and, lower down, 'Herbert Cope | Wolverley'; two small calculations on the verso. Title-page slightly thumbed in lower foredge corner; small ownership inscription 'H. Cope' just above imprint. 'The List of Prices for Materials and Labour, and Labour Only, adapted to the Builder's Golden Rule' has separate title-page, also slightly thumbed, pagination and register. Large ownership inscription in sepia ink on verso of final blank 'H Cope | Stourbridge | 1799' within decorative border. Minor thumbing throughout. A very nice copy, complete in every respect.
