Small tears to head and tail of spines, boards soiled, the bookplate of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, Commandery of the State of Illinois on front pastedowns, shelf sticker on foot of backstrips, occasional waxed pencil accession numerals within, otherwise contents very good. Vol. III with tear to top of front joint.. Vol. 9 entitled "Record of the Services of Illinois Soldiers in the Black Hawk War, 1831--32, and in the Mexican War, 1846--48." Gift to the Commandery from the author, Jasper N. Reese, the Adjutant General. This was the second and final revision.
