[ 1836].. Hand colored lithograph, image 15 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches on sheet size 21 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches. A few faint foxed marks in outer margins, soft crease to lower left corner, two short strips of tape at upper corners of recto of print, overall light soiling to margins (all outside image area); image in very good, clean condition. Exquisitely lithographed and colored image of two sisters in a traditional Spanish dress standing in an portico looking out on an interior garden from John Frederick Lewis "Sketches of Spain." Abbey #150 states that the plates are mounted; this plate has been printed on the thick paper (with pinhole at each corner of the lithograph for registration purposes). .
