First edition of one of several tracts which appeared soon after the Parliamentary legislation of 1708 introducing the English law of treason and its procedure into Scotland, arguing that bills of attainder are, in certain circumstances, justifiable. Modern 1/4 calf, somewhat dusty, but a sound copy. Printed for J. Roberts, near the Oxford-Arms in Warwick-Lane, London, 1716.
