Bound in contemporary calf. 4to; 29 cm. Gilt stamping to spine. Some rubbing to cover, front joint cracked. Internally solid. Pages and plates are generally excellent (see pictures), with a few scattered spots to the margins. Faint marginal damsptain to last few leaves.

A large work containing portrait galleries of Roman Emperors, with more contemporary figures at the end (Gustavus Adolphus, Ferdinand of Spain, Casimir of Poland, etc). Accompanying the portraits is a leerdicht, a didactic poem, about the figure.
