[London:] Susan Allix, 2015 Number eight in a limited edition of twenty copies printed on Somerset mould made paper. Signed and numbered on the colophon by the author. Natural tan cloth over boards with a red handmade paper onlay, an embossed title on cream paper, a black leather rectangle, two wandering lines and a colored pin. The endpapers are embossed and collaged with shapes of overprinted type and chine colle, backed onto red. . Small oblong folio (20" x 24,5"). Illustrated with seven prints created in various ways including etching, drypoint, aquatint, chine colle, digital and lino cut. The original etchings, lino cuts, and archival inkjet prints are hand-colored in acrylic and ink, chine colle, and collage. One title is from a drawing and five pages have collage with the letterpress. The principal typeface is 36 pt. Braggadocio, designed by W.A. Wooley; it is combined with Bodoni Ultra Bold, designed by Morris Fuller Benton. A fine copy in cloth and paper envelope with prospectus laid in. Curvatures "takes a wry look at seven ladies who are not of the slenderest proportions, accompanied by short quotations by George Eliot, Edith Wharton, and Marilyn Monroe. It features a moment in the life of Miss Van Eyck where every letter of the alphabet in the typeface celebrated here may be seen" (from the prospectus).
