Written by Cubas (1832-1912), a Mexican scientist who published many works on topics as varied as topographical drawing, history, archaelogy, and geography. The color plates illustrate various costumes and ethnographic families of Mexico and represent early Mexican lithography. Also included in the text are a number of tables, showing, for example, imports/exports and branches of education. Light foxing to text and map, covers rubbed. Palau 65704.
