Recent brown half calf over marbled boards, spine with raised bands, gilt lettered red and green labels, an early manuscript table listing works published by the author and his brother Joseph affixed to the front pastedown of volume I, another early long handwritten note to the verso of the title page of volume III, small discreet blindstamps of Wigan Free Public Library at intervals to the margins, else a clean set.
