Published for an exhibition in the 3rd Festival of Asian Art presenetd by the Urban Council, Hong Kong, 15 October 1978 to 7 January 1979. This is Volume One only of a two-volume set. First printing of the first edition. Printed and bound in Hong Kong. A bilingual edition in English and in Chinese. Yellowish-green buckram binding, with crisp gilt-stamped titling in English and in Chinese to the front board and to the spine. Gently bumped spine head and tail and corners. 10 x 8.25 inches. 563 numbered pages, with 48 full-page color plates on coated stock and with numerous full-page duotone plates of significant Chinese bamboo carvings. All plates with bilingual notes and citations. A very clean copy, and rather tight. Gently read. Lovely pictorial dust jacket, unclipped. DJ with just a trace of edge wear along the top, scarcely noticeable. DJ protected by a clear Mylar over-wrapper. A Very Good copy in a Very Good DJ. Rare in any condition.. First Edition. Buckram. Very Good/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
