William Morris, An Address.
Hammersmith: Doves Press, 1901. One of 300 copies on paper (there were a further 15 copies on vellum). Printed in red and black. Sm. 4to., original limp vellum, lettered in gilt on the spine. A very good, crisp copy. A history and analysis of William Morris, particularly focusing on his desire for Socialist revolution. The third Doves Press book and a printing of the lecture given by Mackail to the Hammersmith Socialist Society in 1900, four years after Morris's death. It was the first book from the press to be printed in red and black.
