Call the Midwife [inscribed to friends]
Merton Books, Twickenham near London 2002 - [4] pp 294 [6] Scarce inscribed first edition from the month of publication by Jennifer Worth. This influential memoir was first published in this paperback form before being taken up by a mainstream publisher, televised and achieving worldwide renown only a few months after her death. As a result signed examples of the book are most uncommon. Worth has inscribed the book in blue ink above her preface: 'To Jeremy and Ann, With best wishes Jennifer Worth. July 2002'. The top corner of the title page (7x7cm)has been clipped, not affecting text. Otherwise a near fine book with just a hint of rubbing to extremities. Please contact Christian White at Modernfirsteditions if you would like more information about this book. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Soft Cover]
