Contemporary half black polished calf with gilt lettering and decoration to the spine; navy-blue moire silk boards; original marbled end papers. Binding very good and strong with light wear, slight rubbing to edges. Contents clean and tight, the odd spot; plates a little toned and slightly toned to edges . Provenance: with the contemporary engraved bookplate of Thomas Christy to the front free end paper. A very good copy.. First English Edition. Half Leather. Very Good. Illus. by . 8vo (14 x 22 cm).
