Paris: P[ierre] Didot, Fils Aîné de F.A. Didot l'Aîné, 1790. One of 250 copies on papier vélin. xii, 560 pp. 4to. Contemporary red morocco, covers ruled in gilt to a simple panel design, spine with 5 raised bands, lettered in gilt in one, the rest with circular sunburst tool, a.e.g., gilt turn-ins, light blue silk moiré endpapers, by Bradel l'Aîné (his ticket on ffep). Extremities lightly rubbed, lower corner of front cover worn. One of 250 copies on papier vélin. xii, 560 pp. 4to. One in a series of works of French and Latin literature printed by Didot and originally published by the order of Louis XIV "pour l'education de Monseigneur le Dauphin." This copy finely bound by Bradel l'Aîné, with his ticket ("? Bradel l'Aîné, Succeseur du Sr. Derome, le Jeune son Oncle, Rue St Jacques ?"). Ramsden, French Bookbinders 1789-1848, p. 42
