Petrol-blue cloth with beautiful blindstamped art nouveau design of tulips (often botanically inaccurately described as Four Iris!), title gilt, bright, on front, titles gilt on spine, faded. Spine darkened, nicked at extremities, gilt faded. Back vg. Front vg with few tiny marks. Book tight. Untrimmed edges. Internally, ffep trimmed rectangle at corner, back fep has neat date notation at corner. Epp slightly tanned. Else contents vg and no owner's marks. Titlepage in red and black type. This edition the first appearance of Turn of the Screw in book form, this volume is the 2nd impression in same year, (stated "New Impression 1898") combined with the story Covering End. Scarce.
