London: Longman & Co.. 1817. First. Hand-colored aquatint engraving. Drawn and engraved by William Daniell, dated September 1, 1817. Measures approximately 12" x 9" (to the plate mark); sheet measures 14.5" x 10.5". Toning to the sheet edges and margins, the bottom left corner is torn, very good. One of 308 plates from Daniell's great work: A Voyage Round Great Britain. The journey from Land's End to Holyhead was undertaken in six separate trips from 1813 to 1823, and resulted in 308 sublime aquatint engravings printed through 1825. A fine impression of Cormorants Cave, Staffa Island, off the west coast of Scotland, seen from the sea. .
